Electric Drive Components Made in Vermont

Last week, White Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) staff traveled to SBE Inc. in Barre, Vermont, where a $9.1 million Recovery Act grant is helping the company build a new electric drive component factory. As we toured the construction site with the company leadership, it truly felt as though we were witnessing a brand new American industry rising from the ground. We were happy to be joined by Governor Douglas and representatives from the Vermont delegation as well as members of the community who have been involved in this project since the April 2010 groundbreaking.
The SBE grant is a great example of what the Recovery Act is doing for American communities. Before they received it, SBE was planning to build its plant in China. Now, this American company is going to manufacture its state-of-the-art battery components here, in America. That means that not only is the company helping build a home-grown clean-energy industry — it is also creating or saving more than 100 Vermont jobs over the next three years.
We were inspired and encouraged by what we saw at SBE Inc. and look forward to the day when we can peer inside a plug-in hybrid or electric car and find a battery part that reads Made in the USA.

i want to do a project in car i device for law enforement when that can be put in to the computer of the car whebn ever the car stop a picture is taken and send back to so not only tracking the car but i will help in location crimical acts kiddnaps night hit an run drugs delivery i can go on but toomuch out will not make i effective can some one develop this wiht me in mind when you win the 200m and number2 electric and gass stove i device the can close off or only activate by finger prit/ or the the person weight meaning an adult or reponsible preson i think applaince should be fringer print or boby tem or somethin g that will keep chilren fro ham also stollen items most items small aplliances will used in our home hair iron to the washing machine can be activated my finger print or safety device that can only be over run by the owner / manufactor /or when a purhase is made the product fro GE will be able resend a new code for customer who lost item but found it back please i have a lot of items but i remmeber going online some yeares ago asking a cell phone company to come to the carribbean when to came they did not acknowge my invitation aand they are making millions know one remmeber me i did not save that inemail with all the research i did for them but it will still be ion the hot mail server one day it will show up BUT GE IS HAVE A GOOD IDEAS i wish i was a part of the thinking tank for GE MY email you can contact me
