Siemens Promotes Smart Grid Technology Innovation Contest

If you are a smart grid expert and have a brilliant idea, you may win $21,000 and a trip to Berlin, Germany to meet with Siemens Smart Grid Experts.

The technology giant will choose five winners as part of a contest to identify five top sustainable business or technology proposals.

The deadline to submit a proposal is June 15, 2011. The ideas are posted online where people can review and comment openly, which makes it quite an interactive process.

Proposals can cover any topic or aspect of energy use and management including creation, distribution, transmission, storage or utilization.
