Energy Star, the governmental initiative to promote energy efficiency, has launched a video challenge to give the public a platform to engage with each other.

I was disappointed to learn that the gigawatt solar project in Blythe, CA decided to switch from CSP to PV.
The issue, at least on the surface, is “bankability,” i.e., maturity of the technology, along with the obvious fact that the price of PV is falling sharply – 30% in 2010 alone. But at a certain point, I’m hoping (more…)

Maine, one of the most oil dependent American states, has passed a law that requires the region’s oil consumption to be reduced by 30 per cent by 2030 and 50 per cent by 2050, based on 2009 levels.
