Just over a week ago, the largest solar park in New England was inaugurated by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, when he switched on Westford Solar Park, a 4.5 MW solar farm in Westford, developed by Cathartes Private Investments and Nexamp.

The park, spreads across 22 acres and features 14,000 panels. The projected power generation over its lifetime is 150 GWh of energy.

Westford Solar Park is connected to National Grid’s distribution system. The utility will be purchasing the clean electricity generated by the park through Massachusetts’ net metering law. Cathartes can also sell renewable energy certificates that it can sell to utilities and other suppliers that need to fulfill a quota of renewable energy under the state’s law.

Boston.com has an in-depth article describing a visit to Westford Solar Park. The article notes that Massachusetts now is ahead of California as a leader in alternative energy, thanks to Governor Deval Patrick’s policies such as the Massachusetts Green Communities Act.

Article by Antonio Pasolini, a Brazilian writer and video art curator based in London, UK. He holds a BA in journalism and an MA in film and television.

Japan’s FiT in July is among the highest in the world. It’s clear that Japan’s FiT will shake the solar market. Now, UK has the same options. New solar technology will show in Japan. This is it!
As you know, earthquake in japan is happening frequently. Floating solar panels installation is one of the best solutions for power crisis in Japan. So you have to reduce the vibration to install Floating solar panels. Because, it makes many kinds of problems! The vibrations caused by wind, waves and external forces. New Floating Body Stabilizer for Floating solar panels installation has been created in South Korea. The Floating Body Stabilizers generate drag force immediately when Floating solar panels are being rolled and pitched on the water. Recently, this Floating Body Stabilizers using to reduce the Vibration of Floating Solar Panels in South Korea.
