About: Levent Bas
Levent, who was born and raised in Istanbul, has been working in energy industry for over 3 years. He has just relocated to San Francisco in February after working in utility companies in Austria and in Turkey. He got to chance to be involved in several gas, hydro, coal, wind, solar powered generation projects and distribution projects in Europe.
Levent got into energy field when he co-founded a team and started building the first Solar Car of his university during his senior year with a group of 3 people.
He started sailing when he was 9 years old, and he loves to sail wherever he finds some water. He is also one of the co-founders of the Bogazici University Sailing Club and the creator of a nationally adopted college sailing education system. He also enjoys hiking and cycling.
Levent holds a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from Bogazici University, Istanbul.
