Matt Benson is a product and business developer with experience on a wide range of product categories such as automobiles, industrial chemicals, and consumer products. He is the founder of PD3, a firm that helps companies identify opportunities and develop profitable new business concepts. Matt has launched a blog (http://pd3.typepad.com/green/) focused on assessing the demand for sustainable products and technologies, drawing on his experience as a market researcher and his passion for sustainability and clean tech.

Prior to PD3, he was a contract entrepreneur with Foster Chamberlain and a Consumer Insights Manager with Johnson Controls, a $26 billion automotive supplier. Matt was also an innovation consultant with Innovation Focus, a leading idea generation and market research firm.

Matt holds a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech. He is active in the Product Development and Management Association and has been a featured speaker at numerous conferences and workshops for IDSA, IIR, IQPC, AMA, and PDMA.
