About: Thomas L. Rosenberg

Thomas L. Rosenberg is an energy, climate change and environmental sustainability specialist with more than 11 years of experience working in Latin America, Europe, and the US. By combining big picture market and policy strategy with solid technical knowledge to connect the “less-than-obvious” dots, Mr. Rosenberg empowers senior management to develop effective sustainability strategies for their organizations.

Mr. Rosenberg currently leads Emergent Ventures International’s Sustainability and Risk Management Advisory services in the US .

Previously he served as the primary expert and point person for business development in environmental sustainability for a UK-based management consulting firm. Mr. Rosenberg has also worked directly with carbon market start-ups and non-profit organizations involved with social carbon opportunities. In South America he provided technical advisory services in natural resource management to DANIDA- and USAID- funded projects, and designed and implemented a solar rural electrification project in Bolivia. Mr. Rosenberg spent seven years of his career in Washington, DC working on renewable energy, energy efficiency, climate change and utility sector restructuring issues.

He holds a MS in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University, an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird, and a BA in International Affairs and Asian Studies from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
