Scientists at the Madagascar Biodiversity Center have a new tool to help them study species that are being threatened by deforestation – reliable clean power. Volunteers have installed solar panels that prevent the loss of valuable research time during occasional power outages while simultaneously reducing the center’s carbon footprint. (more…)

China leads the world in total investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency, although as a percentage of overall economic activity Denmark ranks first in clean-tech spending, according to a report by the conservation group WWF.

Minnesota, the North Star State, is currently one of the top producers of environmental technologies and renewable energy in the United States. This state is currently setting the pace the nation needs to follow in the race to eliminate the consumption of fossil fuels and carbon footprint reduction.
