French Solar PV Capacity Hits 3,000 MW

According to the French utility EDF, the French solar PV capacity reached in March 3,000 MW, with over 2,672 MW in mainland France and 339 MW in Corsica and overseas.

Arizona Legislature Says No to Capping Clean Energy Growth

Excellent news for solar in Arizona: late last week, the State Legislature put the final kibosh on a bill that would have permanently capped the amount of clean energy used by Arizonans. Westford Solar Park: Largest Private Solar Park in New England

Just over a week ago, the largest solar park in New England was inaugurated by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, when he switched on Westford Solar Park, a 4.5 MW solar farm in Westford, developed by Cathartes Private Investments and Nexamp.

Leaf-Mimicking Design Boosts Output of Solar Panels

NOMAD Solar Lamp Adds to Portable Solar Options

A new portable solar light option was exhibited at the last Salone del Mobile in Milan, which took place between 17 and 22 April. Called NOMAD solar lamp, it was developed by Belgium company O-Sun and will start selling in September for €95 (US$125).
