The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy just released its annual guide to the greenest vehicles. For the first time, an electric vehicle (the Mitsubishi i-MiEV) ranked highest. Tropical Forests Store More Carbon Than Previously Believed, Study Says

A new analysis calculates that vegetation in the world’s tropical regions stores about 229 billion tons of carbon, which is about 21 percent more carbon than previously believed.

Cities Absorb More CO2 Than Previously Estimated, Study Says

A new UK study says that cities and towns provide a large and underestimated amount of carbon storage, and can soak up even greater amounts of CO2 if city groups and gardeners plant more trees.
